Linge Hotel Elst is a friendly hotel offering pleasant and affordable accommodation for visitors to the Gelredome stadium, or the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen. Nature lovers can venture out on nice walks or bike rides through the beautiful scenic area of 'De Veluwe'. The hotel provides bicycle hire as well as a lockable bike shed. What's more, it's possible to arrange fully facilitated meetings, presentations and training courses at the hotel.
Elst is a medium-sized town in the Overbetuwe area with about 25,000 residents. This area is known for its many orchards, and is great for walking and cycling. It's particularly beautiful in spring when everything is in full bloom, and in autumn during the harvest season. Linge Hotel Elst owes its name to the Netherlands' longest river: the 108-kilometre long Linge flowing straight through this region. The rivers Waal and Rijn, with their characteristic views, are just a few kilometres away and easy to explore by means of a good cycling network. The village itself is renowned for its many shops and annual horse market.
The comfortable rooms come with good beds, a shower and/or bath and a toilet as well as a telephone, a satellite television, a DVD-player, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, and a free wireless Internet connection: complete and wonderfully comfortable.
Surroundings
Two large Roman temples one stood on the site where the village of Elst now lies. Remnants are still visible in the foundations of the Grote Kerk in Elst. A special walking and cycling route - provided by the Tourist Information Office - will lead you past places from the Roman-Batavian past. It's also nice to go cycling when the fruit trees are in bloom or during the harvest season. This region boasts many colourful and fragrant orchards with pears, apples and cherries. In September and October, the orchards are filled with pickers harvesting the ripe fruit.
Food and Drink
An extensive Dutch breakfast buffet is available Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 10:30. A packed lunch can be prepared at an additional charge. For a drink, lunch and dinner, you're welcome to take a seat in the adjoining café restaurant De Vereniging, which serves a weekly 3-course dinner as well as other dishes.

Exceptional service. Great owners who were very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast. Proximity to train station means that the more expensive Arnhem hotels are not missed.
No read minus points. A pleasant experience.

Would emphasise how friendly and helpful the staff were. The attached restaurant is first class and makes what would otherwise be a standard budget hotel a very pleasant experience. Nicely situated in an attactive and relaxed small town. Excellent as a base for visting the surrounding region.
Only really a problem in very hot weather but there is no air conidtioning in the rooms. And you wont get a view from your room.

I thought the hotel was just what i wanted.It was comfortable and quiet and i was fully relaxed after my stay.The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities.Also it was nice to have the tv to watch in the evening time with an option of a DVD player.So i liked my stay in this hotel.
I have no minus points about Linge Hotel Elst.

Very friendly hotel, Tea and coffee facilities in the rooms(!), DVD player, well located for travel to both Arnhem and Nijmegen. Price/Quality balance is very good. Handy for restaurants and local shops.
Harsh matress protectors mean it\'s not as comfortable as it could be and the beds are a bit soft for my taste.

Very close to the town and attached to nice restaurant. The staff were very helpful.
Close to clock tower so a bit noisy at half-hour intervals! Breakfast bland and looked cheap.

A delightful hotel in a quiet Dutch town..Room was very comfortable and the jacussi a special bonus.Food excellent and all of the staff very helpful,patient and kind.Special thanks to Melanie on reception for her help.
The inclusion of free internet access was particularly good so my colleague could check his business emails.
No real problems except the laundry started working early and woke us up.
The hotel was a little difficult to find and a good map on the booking website would be a good idea.
