Hotel Het Witte Veen is situated in an old farmhouse, in the middle of Drenthe. The hotel owes its name to the nearby village of Witteveen. The homely atmopshere will certainly make you feel at ease. The historical village of Orvelte is well worth visiting, for instance. This village has been restored to how it used to be in the 1820s and '30s. - De ontvangst, het verblijf(bed), de service,locatie ...... niets op aan te merken!! Ik heb niet goed gekeken of er een lift was; zou gemakkelijk geweest zijn i.v.m. het verslepen van de koffer. Hartelijke dank en wellicht tot een volgende keer.

“would like to stay longer”
- way out in the counry,hicking,bicking,walking. dining in the hotel is a plus and very,very good. staff is great and very helpfull. we regret that we only stayed one night. this is a great place to get away from it all.... thanks laura and staff.
- need a car,train station is to far away. if you are looking for entertainment (other than the cozy bar)you are in the wrong place.

Robin Wardle- The staff went out of there way for us. We arrived very late and they opened the kitchen to feed the 6 of us with no fuss. We will be using this hotel again next year. We all would like to say a very big thankyou to the staff.
