Hotel Orchidee is 500 metres from the E40 motorway, making it very easy to reach. Aalter railway station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and trains to Bruges and Ghent depart every half an hour. Both cities are just a 20-minute drive away by car. Or head to Oostende if you fancy a day at the beach, a 40-minute drive away.

Breakfast is served on Monday to Saturday from 07:00 until 10:00, and on Sunday from 07:00 until 11:00. The hotel does not have a restaurant. The hotel bar is open from 08:00 until 23:00. The drinks menu offers a range of Belgian specialty beers as well as 70 varieties of whiskys and spirits to choose from. The hotel bar is frequented by locals and hotel guests alike.
