Breakfast is available every morning from 07:00 to 10:00 h. At the hotel's restaurant, guests can enjoy an extensive menu featuring a wide variety of fish, meat, pasta and vegetarian dishes. You can also opt for the day's menu, created by the chef. The restaurant is open daily from 19:00 to 22:00 h. At the bar you can enjoy a variety of beers, excellent wines and a wide range of alcoholic drinks and cocktails.

Aarschot lies in Het Hageland in the province of Flemish Brabant. The city is dominated by the tall tower of the 14th century Church of Our Lady, which was built in the Demer gothic style typical to this region. Another attraction in Aarschot is the restored beguinage. The incredibly hilly Hageland area is one of Belgium's three recognised wine regions. At 10 kilometres from Aarschot lies the charming village of Wezemaal, with its Bezoekerscentrum van de Hagelandse wijn (Visitor Centre for Hageland Wine). This is the starting point of an 8-kilometre long vineyard walk, running through vineyards, fruit orchards and a nature reserve.

The surroundings of Kasteel van Nieuwland are perfect for sporty activities: from a quiet stroll on the grounds to a bicycle ride along the banks of the river Demer. Guests can even trail small game, or fish for carp in the pond. The hotel offers free bicycles, allowing guests to be able to explore the beautiful surroundings the Dutch way. The hotel's vicinity offers canoe and kayak hire for sailing the river Demer. An 18-hole golf course is also nearby.
