The hotel is located in the historical centre of Abcoude and is very suitable base for exploring the cities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. The rivers Gein and Angstel run through town. This fact combined with the historical surroundings draws many tourists each year. On the banks of the Gein river are many farms, which contributes to the lovely ambience of this town. From the hotel you have a wonderful view of the gothical Dorpskerk church, which is the oldest building in Abcoude.

Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 10:00 h. You are also welcome at the bar for a drink.The restaurant in the hotel is only available on request for group dinners. The restaurant offers a wonderful view of the village square and the historic church.

Hotel Abcoude lies between the bustling city of Amsterdam and green rural surroundings. You can reach the centre of Amsterdam within minutes and visit one of its many highlights. The Vincent van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Anne Frank House are just a few of the many cultural options. The lakes Vinkeveense Plassen and Loosdrechtse Plassen offer various possibilities for boating. Besides, the Groene Hart – a green rural area between the cities Rotterdam, the Hague, Leiden, Amsterdam and Utrecht – lends itself very well for a trip by bike or on foot.

“A pleasant stay in a friendly hotel, very good value.”

Our stay was very relaxing, with comfortable beds, plenty of room, and good breakfasts. The staff were very friendly, and there was no language problem. The location is central to the old centre of Abcoude, in a picturesque part of the village. The value for money was good. We really enjoyed the experience and hope to return.
The only minor problem was that we had a mosquito in the room one night, though we were not bitten by it. We did see others outside the window leading onto the canal, so kept the window closed during the evening and night. Maybe an opening gauze screen would be a good idea for evening night use.

“Value for Money”

Service very good, reception has a very good selection of Amsterdam inofmation, breakfast very good. If you want a decent value for money hotel 20 mins from Amsterdam, nice quite for a good nights sleep you cant go far wrong here.
The rooms, specifically the bathroom looks like these will be due to be refurbished within the next 3 years. No overhead lighting in the room meant that only the outer edge of the room got any light

Desk service went out of their way to help us. The hotel is in the middle of a very nice, very cozy town. You have to walk around to see the great old houses and the connection to the water.

“Good loction and price.”

Located in central Abcoude, easy to find. Rooms clean and sufficient. Very lovely dining room. Interesting old Cathedral just across the street. Great pastry shop right around the corner, for a good treat with a cup of coffee or tea. Easy to walk around the local shops. The hotel rooms are off the street, behind other buildings, so rooms are quiet. Not far from Amsterdam or Schiphol. We enjoyed our stay very much and I would recommend this hotel to others.
Limited space does not allow for lobby to sit and have coffee.

10 mins to station walking then 20 mins to town on train.

“Great weekend getaway for peace and quite outside of the big city!”

very well priced for the accomodations. A bit of a trip to the train station, but 15 minutes later we were downtown Amsterdam.
room was a bit low on luxuries for the price and location away from Amsterdam.
