The small-scale Hotel de Tabaksplant is established in a monumental building in the medieval centre of Amersfoort. Within a 1-minute walk of the hotel you will find shops, cafés, restaurants, museums, theatre De Flint, a cinema and a bus station. The train station can be reached on foot in approximately 25 minutes and by car in 10 minutes.
A continental breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:00, and at weekends between 08:00 and 10:30. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but upon reservation it is possible to order dishes from the select menu as plate service. You'll also find many restaurants in the historic city centre where you can enjoy a delicious dinner.
Amersfoort's historic city centre is great for shopping and seeing various museums. You can pay a visit to the Mondriaan House or admire work by artists with a connection to Amersfoort in the Flehite Museum. In the west of the city lies Dierenpark Amersfoort, a beautiful zoo which is open throughout the year.

“manager needs to treat customers better”
- I have stayed in many places in Europe and liked most of them I didn't like this establishment. I thought the management was rude. The first minute I walked in I was told that I had to pay an additional fee because of a screw up with the reservation. Furthermore I had to pay it immediately. I didn't think I should pay for something that went wrong with the hotels.NL website, but the manager made it clear there was no negotiating this.

“Excellent location, one has acess to everywhere in lovely Amersfoort.”
- Excellent location in Amersfoort. Just a few minutes walk away from the Train Station where you have acess to all of Holland and Europe at large. Very nice rooms everything you want is there.
- No airconditioning, I was there in the middle of July and it was very hot. The rooms were extreamly hot and the window did not open wide enough to let sufficent air in.

- Very centrally located, good value for money, large rooms some with cooking facilities.
- No reception after 23:00, no bar or restaurant (but breakfast is included and is ample)

- The douche cabins should have something to put your soap and shampoo on. There should be shampoo and regular soap available - not just the small bottle with a soap/shampoo gel.

- No Toiletaries (Esp for late arrivals). No Contingency plan for late arrivals (Lets you book, lets you tell time of arrival, get there and Hotel is closed. No Mini Bar, Tea / Coffee (Even if above were chargeable that would be ok, but to have nothing planned !!!!!)
