Hotel Vita Nova is a floating monument. In 2010, the ship was transformed into a hotel boat with all modern comforts. The ship's original characteristics have been preserved, such as the old loading platform. Only two other vessels remain of this type, making this an absolutely unique location in Europe! The former cargo hold now contains a lounge and five rooms. For ship's cabins, these rooms are a lot lighter and more spacious than you might expect. Each room has its own shower and toilet, a double bed, a television and air conditioning. A stay on this 70-year-old ship is sure to be an extraordinary, unforgettable experience.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00.You can have a pleasant dinner or a drink in one of the attractive restaurants and bars around the harbour.

The enjoyable city centre offers more than 500 shops, so you are spoilt for choice. The house where painter Piet Mondriaan was born is situated on the 'Kortegracht' canal. Another interesting museum is 'Stadsmuseum Flehite'. Fun trips for families with children are the zoo 'Dierenpark Amersfoort', the indoor playing paradise 'Monkeytown' or the indoor ski centre. The ship is moored in the 'Oliemolenkwartier', a former industrial area that was restored and now forms the creative heart of the city.
