Buses to the Museumplein in central Amsterdam depart in front of the hotel, while a tram stop offering a direct link to Amsterdam Central Station is just a 10-minute walk away. It's just a 30-minute journey to the city centre. The stylish and luxurious Grand Hotel Amstelveen offers a comfortable stay with plenty of extra facilities. The hotel's grounds offer a multifunctional sports and party centre with tennis courts, badminton courts and 16 bowling alleys. Furthermore, the hotel also has an excellent venue for business events and functions, with a maximum capacity of 250 persons.

A breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 07:00 until 11:00.
The atmospheric hotel bar The Globe serves a range of cocktails and long drinks. The select bar menu features light bites and a variety of snacks.

“Good value for money.”

Quiet location, spacious and clean room, friendly staff, good price that includes breakfast.
Location is a bit far from Amsterdam centre (about 30-35 mins on public transport). Breakfast options and quality could be better for a 4 hotel.

Plastic cups in bathroom. Paper cups for tea and coffee. Could do with an upgrade. Shabby in places. Basic

“A nice quiet hotel on the outskirts of Amsterdam”

This is our second stay at the hotel and once again, it was a very good experience. The rooms are quiet and everything you need for a short stay is provided. The breakfast selection was excellent, apart from one experience - see below.
The hotel was full one night and when we went to breakfast at 09:30 the following morning, there were no bread rolls. The hotel had run out and they were not able to get hold of any. There was no apology.

“Spacious, comfortable rooms, helpful and knowledgeable staff”

On arrival, my tv and kettle were not working, but the staff were most helpful, and I ended up transferring to another room. The breakfast is excellent - good variety, plentiful and fresh. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bed extremely comfortable. Frequent bus service into town. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.
Location - neither here, there or anywhere! You must either have a car, or be prepared to use the buses - which are frequent during the week and cheap.

Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms, separate toilet. Wifi. Out of the hustle and bustle. Staff most pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast very average.

“Very pleasant and good price - to quality realtion”

Very friendly reception - 24/24. Top clean, spacious, shower+toilette separated, safe and parking included as well as relatively good breakfast.
Goose on neighbour terrain sings from 07:00 (partially a joke, however unpleasant, when back late the night/morning before). No ham with eggs (very minor point but...) and a little bit far from the city - but if you take the car to the town limit Amstelveen, only 15 minutes driving time remaining and more busslines available. Good Alternative: P&R for 6€ including bus ticket.
