The Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American is a legendary hotel that was founded in 1902. The hotel is situated right in the middle of the city centre at the vibrant Leidseplein, which is surrounded by good restaurants, bars and clubs. Its Art Deco building has been placed on a list of historical monuments. - Luxurious, spacious, gorgeous rooms with french door access to full size open balconies. Super fantastic hotel! Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Excellent Mixologist (hi, Eugene!). Great location. Really loved this neighborhood with easy access to trams and all sights. We absolutely LOVED our 4-night stay here. It was PERFECT.

- Fantastic position and a beautiful hotel one of the best in amsterdam with great history. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great bars and restaurants around hotel and everywhere is a max 15min walk from hotel.
- Breakfast a little expensive in the hotel as you can get great value breakfasts all around the hotel in restaurants/cafes which is a shame as the restaurant in the hotel is beautiful and is the only art deco hotel in amsterdam so if you dont mind paying the extra the setting is fantastic. The fitness centre/sauna area is a bit dissapointing too very basic and not very well set out.
