“Basic, Clean but overpriced. ”
  • Good location. Transport readily available. Lots of information supplied on arrival.
  • Breakfast was basic. Room was basic, even after paying an extra €40 to upgrade on arrival. Towels were not changed over the three day stay.

“Close to amenities and transport.”
  • Neighbourhood was nice.
  • Room was big enough for a double bed rather than a single with room to spare.

“Great hotel!”
  • I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was safe, clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The price was extremely reasonable for what you got. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.
  • It is about a 15 min tram ride to the center of the city, but the tram stop is right in front of the hotel. It was not an inconvenience at all, but for those that like to be right in the heart of the city center, then another hotel might be an option.

“A quiet cosy hub”
  • Good location - a quiet quarter near a park; not very far to the city center; good access to Schiphol
  • A fridge would be nice to have

“A good value City Hotel in easy reach of City Centre by Tram”
  • We first stay at the Beethoven Hotel in 1990 when it was owned by Best Western. The hotel has been refurbished to a good standard and the beds are very comfortable
  • The old restaurant/breakfast area is now the coffee shop next door and although the new breakfast area is adaquate, the breakfast's are not as good with limited variety (especially if staying a number of days)

“Not recommended”
  • The only plus is that the hotel is relatively close to the centrum of the city.
  • Loud and dirty. Furniture from 80-ties. Service of low quality: housekeeping wakes you at 9 a.m. even if you place \"do not disturb\" at your door.

“Good value, balanced choice in terms of price-quality-location”
  • Helpful and honest staff Excellent breakfast Nice neighbourghood with shops cafes etc Frequent tram connection to centre Small-ish but clean and practical room
  • Minor inconveniences: -Difficult to adjust water temperature in the bathroom -Lights in the room are either very bright and too strong to watch TV, or (the bedside lamp) too dim to read a book -Vending machines do not include snacks, if you are hungry at night you are stuck. I discovered the late shop nearby only the last night!

“I highly recommend staying at Hotel Beethoven.”
  • Great staff, nice breakfast and the location is great. Nice part of town, within walking distance to the Zuid train station. Located near nice shops and food and it is just a short trip on the public transportation to the city center.
  • The bathroom was a little small.

“My stay in the Hampshire”
  • It was a nice cozy room with a nice tea/coffee service so that I did not had to go downstairs for it.
  • The room was on a busy street . And sound from the guest upstairs was like a herd of elephants late at night and again he was stamping in the morning. The bathroom was small and the shower was or very Hot or Ice cold water 2 minutes hot than Ice cold and the drain did not work so I was standing in the water all the time so not very hygienic. I would not book a room with them again , also because the price was higher than it was told on line.

“Comfortable hotel with good location.”
  • The rooms are comfortable spacious with tea and coffee making faciliies. The location is convenient with easy access by tram or taxi into the centre of the city.
  • On this occasion the room i requested was available, but they didn\'t clean it on the day of my arrival. They offered me another room which i took. The following day the room i wanted was ready.I thought this was bad service.
