Comfort and design are combined well in WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam. The colour combination of red, purple and grey together with several glass elements make a bold statement. Design is the key feature of the public areas as well. The hotel also has an exclusive art collection of the late famous Dutch artist Herman Brood. It consists of paintings but also special items such as his agenda, his last bottle with fingerprints, the boots he wore and a decorated bike. All these items are displayed in show cases.
Breakfast is served on weekdays between 07:00 and 10:00 h. and between 07:00 and 11:00 h. during the weekend.The Art Brasserie, with its pleasant artistic atmosphere, is daily open for an a la carte breakfast, coffee, lunch, drinks and dinner. You have a beautiful view of the public swimming pool and the gardens. On warmer days you can have breakfast on the patio.
WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam is situated in the Westerpark city district, on the edge of Amsterdam. From the hotel it will only take you 10 minutes to get to the heart of Amsterdam by car or by bus. There you will find all the interesting sights, restaurants and nice shops. Nearby the hotel lies the Cultuurpark Westergasfabriek. Many events are held at these former factory premises. There are several entertainment venues here as well as some offices.
For bookings of over 10 rooms and/or people, special conditions and surcharges may apply.Only the credit card holder is authorized to guarantee a reservation with a credit card. Upon arrival, the credit cardholder must be present and provide the credit card used to make the booking plus a valid ID. If the guest - in case of a prepayment - cannot present this credit card, the hotel will credit the initially charged amount. The guest is then required to make a deposit on the spot. When the card holder is not staying in the hotel a credit card authorization form can be obtained through the hotel.Please note a prepayment of €100,- in cash or by credit card for damage deposit will be asked upon check-in.

“A very welcoming and relaxing stay.”
- The bedroom was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Check- out time 12 o`clock was a bonus. Bus-stop outside the hotel, with buses running every 5 -10 mins. It was a very enjoyable stay.

“Fairly priced, clean, and a bus ride away to Central Amsterdam!”
- Stayed here before plenty of times, definitely rate it. Staff are welcoming and prompt at check in, was in room within 5 mins of arrival. Room was large, very clean and a shower separate from the bath was a touch! Just outside central Amsterdam, but the bus stop out the front makes it worth it.

“Ridiculous fees/charges”
- The hotel charged me 9 euro/min for making an international call. This is the most ridiculous bill I've received my entire life. I was not told prior to the call what the charge was. Where in the world are you charged 9 euro/min for making a call? I'm still planning on taking this matter up! The 17 euro breakfast was not worth it at all! 5-7 euro should be the max for that breakfast.

“OK but nothing special”
- Free wifi, but a bit unreliable. But the room had a network cable anyway so no problem. Good steak dinner.
- My XXL room was really just a M. I imagine anyone staying here to visit Amsterdam (I wasn\'t) would find the location a problem. WIth these two points, I don\'t think it\'s good value.

“Amsterdam Art, reasonable priced, clean hotel a few km from city.”
- Easy reach of Centraal Station and city by public transportation Bus 48. Taxi E12.50. Very clean room, crisp linen. Bathroom spotless. Very comfortable. Staff friendly. I have used this hotel before and it was equally good. Recommended.
- Breakfast mediocre. Nothing to see locally, at all.

- nice sized room, very comfortable bed, nice shower/bathroom, quiet - no noise from adjoining rooms or traffic. free wifi - excellent connection speed.
- lavatory separate from shower/bathroom, automatic minibar (which tried to charge me for looking inside!). location was a bit far for me to walk into city centre - only one bus (however bus stop was close enough). The fact that the whole hotel is going NO SMOKING from 1st July 2008.

- I have booked my room almost 2 month before arrivig. I asked a non smooking room on one of the top floors. At my arrival I have got a smooking room with apropriate smoked air on the first floor. Next day I was relocated to a room fitted to my willingness. It means, that I had to pack my luggages again etc.
