Tomer.z.- Pretty close to all attractions by Tram and Metro. Has near by supermarket and coffeshop (2 min. walking). 1 min. walking to trams 7,9,10 and Metro which will take you anywhere in the city. the two guys at the reception was really helpful and nice, served me well. very nice hospitality.
- 1. though the high intensity of the public transportation it is still far from the center, i dont think it worth 130 euros a night. 2. shower's water stream was really low, almost unable to take a decent shower. 3. min-fridge doesnt work where you're out of the room. 4. my room was outside of the main building, a hut in the yard.

Jago- Very friendly reception and modern comfortable room.
- Could have done with stationary and tea and coffee in room.

Guest- The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety offered for breakfast. The room and the bathroom were very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The location is also great for exploring the city as the metro and tram stations are very close to the hotel.
- The only downside was the noise coming from the street. You could hear the trams passing very early in the morning and since it was pretty hot, the windows were open and the noise was a bit too much.

Simon- - Close to metro station (5 minutes walk) - shower is ok - free internet access
- - small room and bathroom - refrigerator not cooling properly - TV bad quality - duvets are to heavy and too warm - renovation/repairing work is ongoing: noise starts at 0700... - mattresses gliding/moving (not fix)

B & Y- Very friendly family run hotel. Hotel recently decorated. Rooms very pleasant with a good shower and large TV. Breakfast fully adequate. Location is near to Amsterdam University and walking distance to zoo plus museums but need transport to and from central station. On arrival we mentioned that our daugher was celebratng a birthday -- later we found a card and chocolates in our room. Hotel arranged taxi back to the airport which was economical for 4 people.
- All positive but if pressed -- stairs to rooms rather steep (normal for Holland) and breakfast room was smallish

Matthias Pichler- Veri nice hotel with clean room. We enjoided our stay very much. Hotel is situated next to the Tram an Underground line.
- Poor chairs in the breakfast room

Kai- Good service and receptionists
- The bed is not comfortable enough as the springs were not evenly spread out on the bed.

Higgins- Super-clean, very new, really nice and comfortable. Excellent location just outside all the craziness - central yet quiet.
- Night staff seemed unsure about the price, asked us for more money the next day after she made a mistake and charged us too little.

Scarlet Bell Decker- After a little walk through a dark neighborhood, we found ourselves at the base of a hotel with beautiful and clean red steps. The feng shui was undeniable. Our front door man, Zi-Jian,a Scorpio, was charming, sweet, funny and very helpful. Check in was quick, and we were in our room showering with HOT water asap. The room was very clean and cozy. The balcony was big enough for two people to smoke comfortably. An unexpected plus was a giant flat screen tv, with many selections to choose from. Even on the first floor, it was quiet and relaxing all night. The boiling water maker was a life saver, as we arrived to late to go to dinner, and were forced to make our emergency noodles. When asking the door man for some bowls, we were let in the kitchen to find what we needed, and given chocolates before returning to the room. Breakfast in the morning and coffee was just enough to fill our bellies and prepare us for a long day of shopping. Which was only possible because our precious door man let us leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out, for the remainder of our visit in Amsterdam, so that we did not have to haul it around.
- The beds were a little to "spring" mattress, and could be replaced. The shower was very tiny, and meant only for the healthy and fit, aka "under 150bs". The advertisement for the room should mention that the hotel is located in a quiet part of the city, and that the balcony does not overlook a busy street, but rather a lovely little garden.
