The basic but comfortable Hotel Heart of Amsterdam has an excellent location at one of the beautiful canals, on the edge of the famous 'Red Light District'. The 'Dam' can be reached on foot in just 3 minutes. It's truly in the very heart of Amsterdam! Several well-known attractions are located near the 'Dam', such as 'Madame Tussauds' and the 'Koninklijk Paleis' (royal palace) and you can also find a wide variety of shops in this area in the 'Kalverstraat', the 'Nieuwendijk and the 'Magna Plaza' shopping centre. In the nearby Nieuwe Kerk' (new church) and the former stock exchange building 'Beurs van Berlage' you can regularly visit interesting expositions. A number of boat tours start at the Central Station, which is located at just an 8 minutes walk from the hotel.In addition, the nightlife is just around the corner.
Between 07:00 and 10:00 h. you can enjoy a breakfast buffet. For lunch and dinner you can visit one of the nearby restaurants. The hostel has a vending machine with soft drinks and snacks.
Hotel Heart of Amsterdam lives up to its name: there is an abundance of tourist sights within walking distance. Discover the 'Red Light District' and the beautiful canals during a nice walk through the city, wander around the flea market 'Waterlooplein', visit museums such as the 'Anne Frank Huis' and Madame Tussauds and enjoy a nice drink on one of the outside terraces at the 'Rembrandtplein'.
**Please note** that the hotel does not have an elevator, so expect traditional Amsterdam stairs!

- The location was great and the room was comfortable.
- The room was really dark and that made it hard to pack up at the end without being sure we weren't missing things. Otherwise though, it was great.

- it is literally in the heart of Amsterdam, that is the red glittery heart of red light district.
- Room quality was baseline (not too bad, but not good ether). Staying between brothels can be bothersome....

“Worst Experience Of A Hostel In MY LIFE”
- Location is good because its in the Red Light District, other than that i would not recommend this hostel to anyone.
- They authorize your credit card before you arrive for the first nights stay, and you don't receive it back on your card for 30 days, its an absolute disgrace, their customer service is the worst i have ever seen and i am a seasoned traveler, they don't even respond to your your emails, they steal your deposit for the security box as well. ***PLEASE AVOID THIS HOSTEL***

- awesome themed hostel! :) Really great for people travelling alone/ in small groups- very easy to meet super-awesome people. Breakfast was good, free net on computers in lobby, clean.
- Very leaky shower in one of the rooms, HUGE difference in prices paid- people who booked in person paid up to 15 euros less per night! (this site gave median price)
