Raquel Horta Bartomeu- The bar was amazingly decorated and on friday and saturday night there were good live music until late. They had lots of kinds of beer. The people who worked there were very friendly and nice. The room was small but I really didn t need more space.
- An ensuite room would have been nice but sharing facilities wasnt bad, I never had to wait and they were always clean.

B. Farnworth- Location was close to central station
- The rooms were filthy and noisy, the linens were soiled, doors slammed all night long. The manager was rude and treated customers with disdain. If you want a place to store luggage and you have no plans to sleep or you are not concerned about staying in a room that is filthy then this is the place for you. I have been traveling to Amsterdam for 15 years, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. You have been warned....stay away from the Old Nickel Hotel Amsterdam.

wall- cheap, basic, good location.
- not much bad, you get what you pay for, cheap price = basic hotel, shared bathrooms but clean.
4.2
Rik- Location is great.
- Stayed in the Schagen building, not main hotel as apparently Old Nickel has only 2 2-person rooms. No notice given of this change. Schagen is a dump. Room felt like a cell. Was obviously a corridor in the past. Paint grim. Bathroom dirty/smelly and shower flooded. Incredibly noisy both outside and inside. Will not be returning
4.6
Jack- Location, some of the staff were nice.
- Some really small rooms resembling jail, shower was poor, not all stall were polite. Not really worth the price.

Mark Farrugia- the persons behind the bar were very friendly :) location is awesome in the centre. altough the rooms have a shared bathroom, these were always clean.
- the stairs are a bit tight/no lift. these can be tricky after a long night in a coffeeshop or while transporting luggages in and out. Will definately visit again.
