Hotel Rho houses in a beautiful building in the heart of the city centre. The building has served as a trading house for gold and was originally built to function as a theatre. Magnificent stained glass windows emphasize the Art-Deco style. The hotel is situated at a quiet, small street, in the middle of the centre. The 'Dam' square is around the corner. From the hotel several excursions, by boat or bus, can be organised at the hotel and the hotel offers parking space. This ensures plenty of opportunities to engage in an extensive cultural visit to the bustling centre of Amsterdam. The numerous cafés, bars and restaurant that enrich Amsterdam are all within walking range.

The extensive breakfast buffet is served between 07:00 and 10:30 h. Between 16:00 and 23:30 h. you can enjoy a drink in the hotel bar whilst making exciting plans to discover the city.

Hotel Rho is situated in the historical centre of Amsterdam. This means that Amsterdam Central Station, as well as the many entertainment venues are within walking distance. The Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt square), with its many bars and bistros is just around the corner. At the hotel you can rent a bike, which enables you to explore the entire city centre.

Exceptional location right off the Damrak (central) close to all amenitiess, shops, bars, Dam Square etc Good breakfast
Air Con used to be working in rooms but now is not.

“January experience in the RHO”

The men at the Reception desk were very helpful and also very polite, at ALL times of the night, as some of us were going in and out until 5am.
As we drove, we left the key for my car in reception. Just quoting a room number was adequate, to obtain the car key, and I thought that was quite risky, as anyone could quote a room number and obtain someones car key. The parking was safe but the security for the key was not.

very central, only paces from dam square. helpful staff and nice breakfast.
no tea/coffee facilities in the room. no english speaking tv channels despite satelite tv being advertised. iron only available in reception area.

This is a brilliantly located budget hotel, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The rooms could do with a bit of a make-over but it\'s certainly good value for such a central hotel.

“A lovely surprise”

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Nice size rooms - warm and comfortable. Lovely selection at breakfast. Excellent value all-round, especially given the central location. First time using this hotel (but not first time in Amsterdam). We were a bit anxious about staying in a new hotel (usually would stay in Leidesplein), but were very pleasantly surprised.
Can't really think of any, to be honest. Oh, tea/coffee facilities in the rooms would be nice, but that's a very minor niggle.

“God situation, some little things missed in the nice room.”

The situation is perfect. The room was light and comfortable.
Minibar was empty! The bar in reception was not open (it was empty too!!) In the room, there was no information about hotel (breakfast time, telephone numbers, paper and pen...). Some little things in the room could make it perfect...

RECEPTION STAFF ALL HAD A GOOD LEVEL OF LANGUAGE SKILLS. AS LISTED ABOVE LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD
NO REFRESHMENT FACILITIES IN THE ROOM. NO DINNER SERVICE. NO AIR CONDITIONING. TOWELS WERE WAY TOO SMALL

The location was great for us. We were working at the RAI and the tram to and from the city centre was useful. I have rebooked for the forthcoming IBC event at the RAI.
The roms were a little run down i.e. the fan in my room wasn\'t working and the shower was hard to use. The lifts are the slowest lifts in the world.

“Great base for touring the city ”

Great location 10 minutes from the central station. 5 minutes from bars and restaurants of red light area but far enough away not to be bothered by the it. Clean room basic but if you need luxury try the big 5 stars. Staff friendly and breakfast good.
Not much really, rooms are very basic and lack any home comforts but it was clean and twin beds comfortable.

The staff are funny and friendly look out for Christian he is awesome the breakfast was very yummy and needed the rooms were kept clean and it is a perfect distance from all the main attractions
