Hotel details:
Quentin Golden Bear Hotel Amsterdam is the city's most popular gay hotel and is located in the middle of the centre. The hotel is established in two historical premises in the Kerkstraat which date back to 1737. Various gay bars and clubs can be found in this street and in the Reguliersdwarsstraat. The Leidseplein is just around the corner, and where you'll find the Stadsschouwburg theatre and a casino. The hotel's central location is ideal for visiting interesting museums and going shopping. The '9 little streets' area, situated between the Prinsengracht and the Singel, is packed with lovely little boutiques. To reach attractions located a little further away, there's a tram stop just around the corner, although Amsterdam is also easy to explore on foot. A wealth of information is available at reception and the friendly staff is happy to answer all your questions.
A Dutch breakfast is served daily in the cosy lounge. Drinks can be purchased at reception and a small fridge is available in the hotel rooms. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but you'll find all sorts of options in the vicinity of the hotel for a delicious dinner and a great night out.
The hotel lies within walking distance of several shopping streets, such as the Leidsestraat, the Kalverstraat and the '9 little streets' area. Also easy to reach is the Museumplein, where the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum are located. Bars and clubs can be found in the nearby Reguliersdwarsstraat, the Leidseplein and the Rembrandtplein. Quentin Golden Bear Hotel offers ideal accommodation in the very heart of Amsterdam.

Cole- Great location for 'church' Pleasant guests
- Very basic room Terrible service Way overpriced
9.4
neoxchain- Staff is friendly, breakfast is included, located right on the tram line and between city centre and night life!!
- The stairs are incredibly steep (as are most places in Amsterdam)!
8.4
Peter Greenhill- Long breakfast period not normally given at other venues
- Steep steps but to be expected in a dutch house
6
stuart- good location, clean, easy check-in and check-out. Allows you to leave baggage after 11 AM check-out
- Unfriendly staff appear too busy to answer simple questions. Breakfast has poor quality coffee, uses only high transfat butter substitute, meats and cheeses low quality, bread is packaged and tasteless. Staircase is extremely steep and not suitable for many people.
5.8
malcolm jones- in central of amsterdam
- the stairs are very very very very steep , the deco was very poor , it needs upgrading , the water in the shower was very slow and poor .
4.2
Jaco klopper- Not much
- Smelly, extremely steep stairs, average reception staff, noisy, not good value for money.

Christina Ladefoged- The staff was really friendly and service-minded. The rooms was clean, so was the toilet and bath. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is perfect, you walk almost straight out to -I don't know the word for it, but you know, a long long street full of shops. There is the most cosy and 'warm' Coffeeshop right next door, called The Dolphin.
- The walls in the room are crying for new paint or a good scrub. Other then that, i have no bad things to say. I loved my stay there, and i will definitely come again next year!
8.8
Adi Eliyahu- Very comfortable location, not in a too crowded area.
- Steps to upper floors are very steep and narrow. Not fun if you are not in shape or carrying to much weight with you.
8.2
ALTAN- THE PERSONNEL WERE VERY FRIENDLY;MAYBE A LITTLE BIT UNSMILING,BUT VERY HELPFUL AND EFFICIENT.THE LOCATION WAS GREAT;RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING AND VERY EASY TO REACH.BREAKFAST WAS SATISFYING.
- THE STAIRS WERE AWFUL,JUST LIKE CLIMBING HIMALAYAS.THE BED SHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED FOR THREE DAYS.
5.2
Ron van Vlaardingen- Breakfasts are very nice
- hotel staff should INSIST on taking your lugggage to your room since the stairway is so dangerously steep and narrow. The folks at the front desk can throw around some \'attitude\'.
