Richard
“Well-located but impersonal and extremely noisy”
  • The location is good, being on the edge of the Zentrum. The room and bathroom were large, unusual in Amsterdam hotels. The breakfast was OK, but you make it yourself.
  • When you find a pack of earplugs beside your bed when you walk in, the hotel is telling you something that's not in the brochure. Our room was immediately above a noisy bar/disco that plays loud music until 3am weekdays, 4am on weekends. After that, the drunks start yelling for an hour or so. 210 Euros (the rate charged for its being IBC week in Amsterdam) is too much to pay for this. The staff are competent but anodyne and there is no breakfast room, rolls being left outside your room on a tray. The feeling is like living in a bed-sit, rather than being in a "boutique hotel" the Hotel Weber claims to be. A slightly depressing experience.
