The hotel is established in a monumental building that was built in 1928 to serve as a hotel during the Olympic Games in Amsterdam. In 1985 it was bought by an Italian hotel chain which carried out extensive renovations for two years and restored it to its former glory. The most exquisite and modern materials were used throughout and this is reflected in the final result. The hotel exudes a typical Italian atmosphere of elegance and refinement.

The incredibly extensive breakfast buffet is available on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 07:30 until 11:00. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but you'll find many restaurants in the direct vicinity of the hotel where you can enjoy lunch or dinner.

The hotel is situated in the middle of the city centre, by the Muntplein and Amsterdam's famous Flower Market. Thanks to NH Collection Amsterdam Flower Market's incredibly central location, the Dam square, the Central Station (approx. 1 kilometre), the Vondelpark, and the Museumplein all lie within walking distance. As do all other major attractions located in the centre of Amsterdam.
