The Lancaster Hotel Amsterdam is situated in a quiet green area. The modern interior of the hotel is a good mixture between classical and contemporary elements. In the hotel lobby there is an internet corner. There is also a restaurant as well, which is only open for breakfast service. In this stately monumental building you spend the night in comfortable and contemporary rooms, which are equipped with an LCD television, a safe and high speed internet.

Over 8.000 animals live in Artis zoo, which is located across the street. This zoo was founded in 1838 and still houses several beautiful listed buildings. In the zoo you will also find a planetarium, a botanical garden, the Zoological Museum and the Geological Museum. Like to go shopping? The Waterlooplein is easy to reach on foot from the hotel. On this flea market there are numerous stalls with second hand clothes, accessories and antiques. From this market it is just a short stroll to the lively bars and outside terraces of the Rembrandtplein or to the shops in the Kalverstraat.
