A strong smell of sewage in lift and down stairs lobby area and noisy floorboards on our third floor room and the rooms above us.

Quiet street, very nice breakfast included in the price, 24 hours reception, acceptably clean, don\'t know about usual price but we got a promo-offer on hotels.nl
Thin walls/ceilings: you can hear whenever someone moves/walks/talks beside/above your room, bed very soft (this is of course not necessarily a minus)

Friendly staff, walkable close distance to town center and most of all museums and other places of interest. No need for public transportations, easy to reach from airport with the cheap intercity train and trams
Somewhat small rooms, mosquitos but that goes for all Amsterdam

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and seemed to really care about making sure each and every guest received personal attention and service. The hotel was in a great location in the Museum District, so easy walking to a number of attractions, as well as restaurants and shopping.
The room seemed rather small (a single) for the price I paid, but since I was out of the hotel during the day playing tourist, this wasn\'t a huge issue. No washcloth was provided in the bathroom, only a hand-towel and bath towel.
