Lovely hotel at a reasonable price

Our booking was done quickly and correctly. We were welcomed on arrival and our bags stored. the room was great with a 4 -piece bathroom. Breakfast was good, the garden lovely. And we will recommend this hotel to our friends.

A strong smell of sewage in lift and down stairs lobby area and noisy floorboards on our third floor room and the rooms above us.

Nice hotel in Vondelpark Neighborhood

Good breakfast. Clean room. A quick walk from Leidseplein square with tram access to Dam Square, Central Station. Quick walk to the Musuems.

They may cancel your reservation without telling you.

Cheap, reasonably conveniently located.

Terrible service. On arrival in Amsterdam, the manager informed us (in quite the little act) that he had cancelled our reservation because we had given him a "bad" credit card. Supposedly he called us a few hours earlier (at our home number in New York) to tell us that the credit card company (BofA) wouldn't "confirm" our card. He finally gave us the small, un-air-conditioned room after complaining about how we interrupted his coffee. Ridiculous.

Good choice in a very good neighborhood of Amsterdam, nearby to import

The very pleasant contact with the owner of the hotel and his tips what to do in Amsterdam gave me the feeling to be very welcome.

Thin walls/ceilings: you can hear whenever someone moves/walks/talks beside/above your room, bed very soft (this is of course not necessarily a minus)

Friendly staff, walkable close distance to town center and most of all museums and other places of interest. No need for public transportations, easy to reach from airport with the cheap intercity train and trams
