Hotel details:
The Rokin Hotel is a real family business that was opened in 1973. Two monumental 17th century buildings make up the hotel, which is situated at the Rokin in the heart of Amsterdam. Some of the characteristic elements were kept during the renovation, amongst which the wooden ceiling beams. The hotel rooms are equipped with a private shower and toilet, a tv and a safe for all your valuables. There is an elevator in the hotel as well.
The hotel's basement houses the stylish breakfast room. In the morning you can enjoy a lovely breakfast here, starting from 07:30 h. On request you can have breakfast earlier, provided you notify the reception the night before. The hotel does not have its own restaurant. In the vicinity you will find numerous restaurants that are open for lunch and dinner service.
Hotel Rokin is located in the heart of Amsterdam near the 'Dam'. Enjoy a short stroll from the hotel to the 'Koninklijk Paleis', visit an exposition in the former stock exchange building 'Beurs van Berlage' or the 'Nieuwe Kerk', go shopping in the 'Kalverstraat' or have a fun night out at the 'Rembrandtplein'.

J Stewart- Good breakfast
- Two sinks beds pushed together instead if a double. Very noisy location with not good sound proofing or double glazing
8
Sean- Great Breakfast and friendly staff.
- Lots of noise from the street. Try to get a room at the rear of the hotel.

S Carlton- Price including breakfast, and cleanliness, is justified. On last day, breakfast was offered early, because I had to leave early. This was sincerely appreciated.
- Small rooms. Outside road construction noise during day. I thought inside noise might be problem because rooms are so tight, but all guests respected each other and no problem.
8.2
Salomeh Ahmadi- Clean, comfortable, the lady in the reception was very helpful, friendly and nice.
- the breakfast was not appealing, very simple, but no point to complain about it
9.8
Vicki Marsh- The staff were extremely helpful and were happy to supply tea when requested. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. The hotel is clean and comfortable and easy to get to.
- We would have preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles, but it was not a problem. Also a few more english speaking tv channels or a movie channel would have been nice.

david mclachlan- Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and always had a pleasant stay this time my flights were cancelled for my return journey. The hotel was very helpful and I was able to book my room for a further 3 nights. The staff are always pleasant and helpful
- Television in room could do with updating
8.6
Gary May- Breakfast is excellent with a good selection. Location of the hotel is about 500 yards from Dam Square which makes it ideal for shopping and/or night life. Staff are very friendly.
- I have stayed in the hotel four times now and have found the rooms at the rear a lot quieter as you get noise from traffic and trams, also the Metro extension which is being built outside has been in construction stage for a long time but I must say it looks like its nearly completed.
