The Hotel Nieuw Slotania is situated on the Slotermeerlaan in Geuzenveld-Slotermeer, a residential area to the west of Amsterdam's city centre. As such, the hotel is close to the ring road around Amsterdam, and provides a good connection to the city centre and Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, both of which are approximately 15 minutes away by car or public transportation. Opposite to the hotel is a modern shopping centre named Plein 40-45, where you can go for your daily shopping or specialty items, so that you may be well prepared for an exploration of the city, or a trip originating from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. At the front desk you can book excursions or day trips, or request Pay-TV at additional charge. Hotel Slotania also has a special laundry service for guests of the hotel.

A breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast area: on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 11:00. You'll also find a good range of restaurants on the Slotermeerlaan for more elaborate meals.

The Hotel Nieuw Slotania is situated in 'Geuzenveld-Slotermeer', a lively residential area in 'Amsterdam-West'. Across from the hotel is a modern shopping centre. The tram and bus stops in the street make it possible to reach the city centre within 15 minutes. By car the city centre and Amsterdam's business centres are equally well-accessible by way of Amsterdam's ring road.

service is good and friendly.
location is quite far away from central. hotel should support some basic needs such as slippers.....

“Never again, 1/2 *. Good if you want to rough it and pay”

Comfertable bed, Good shower, Internet access on 1st floor
Extreamly damp room and corridor, no room kettle and night porter would not supply boiling water when requested. The only heating source was a portable noisy blow heater. The radiator was removed leaving a gap. Room safe did not function. Clothes left in drawer absorbed the damp and became unusable. Breakfast was included but consisted of very cheap processed cheese and meats which were more akin to leather. The fruit drinks were of a similar synthetic quality. The bar never opened. Evening dinner was next door in a cheap pizza style takeaway if you wised, otherwise a trip to town. Please note, your print option at the top of this page does not work.

hallways smelt bad , rooms could of been better and its to far from city centre

- Nice, quiet and clean hotel, non-smoking rooms. Tea facilities present. Good quality indeed. Good price and availability.
- not so close to the center, however public transport conducts everywhere (airport included)

“"Aldi"-hotel”

This is the Aldi under the hotels: a sharp price for a reasonable product, but don't expect any kind of luxoury. Very good public transport connections to all parts of Amsterdam. No parking fee in front of the hotel after 19.00 and no parking fee at all when you park your car at 5 minutes walking.
Although it is clearly not allowed by the hotel, other guests are smoking cigarettes near your window. Thin walls. Far away from the city centre. The entire hotel is quite outdated, but that explains the low price: you 'll get what you're paying for.

“Satisfactory Hotel In An Amazing City”

Medium sized room, nice and tidy. Decent TV/shower and bathroom. Free breakfast, good public transport links. Overall satisfied with hotel
Bit of a journey to city centre (20 mins bus/50 mins walk). Breakfast was nice and inclusive in the price but not the most amazing selection and the bar/resturant in the hotel seemed closed most of the time.

“No luxury but acceptable turist hotel for a visitor to Amsterdam”

Hotel quite easily accessible, public transport available in front of the hotel entrance. Very good breakfast for this hotel category, good choice of food, vegetable, cereals and hot/cold beverages. Free WiFi and internet availability.
Uncollected garbage on corridors, generally poor tidiness all over the hotel. Never-cleaned, messy and smelly locker room at the basement floor. Not too friendly front desk personnel, lack of smile. Heat in the room - AC installed but far from a working condition.

Pictures on homepage of hotelrooms are not valid We had made reservation for a room with two beds but had a small room with 3 beds and no space for luggage.

The breakfast and a price was very good! Everybody very kind! Only 20 minutes by tram to the city! I can recommend that hotel.
The price was very good so I can not complain! No minus.
