“Excellent value and good location in East Amsterdam ”

We chose Tropen because it overlooks the green Oosterpark - what a view - and is located in a multicultural Neighbourhood with many cafes. It. is close to the zoo, hortus botanicus and easy to walk to Waterlooplein too. A tram stops outside the hotel too.

Clearing the room was not ok, we need towels etc. .There was no radio and room service as promised in your description.. check in time as you describe 10.oo was at 15.00 hour. this is very bad as we arrive at 10.00 o clock and we first get our room at 15.00. This means we have to wait 7 hours to get our room. We took he plain for denmark depending to get our room at 1o.00 oclock. this was very disapoined

“Very Pleasant Hotel”

The location at first glance might appear far from the major sites in Amsterdam, however this hotel is actually in a great location. The hotel is directly across from a tram stop which will runs directly to central station without having to change lines. You are also right next to a large park (Oosterpark) that has nice walking and running trails. The hotel is also within easy walking distance to the Muiderpoort train station for service to relatively close towns.
There were several places to eat near the hotel but there is a much larger variety of places to eat closer to Centrum.
