Hotel details:
Situated in a former school building, WOW combines various different functions including 50 hostel rooms, suitable for travellers visiting Amsterdam as well as for artists and art school students. In addition, WOW has various events spaces, a restaurant, a bar, and an urban farm. All in all, a dynamic place that easily lends itself to meeting fellow 'residents'.
A breakfast buffet is available between 08:00 and 10:00. On the ground floor, you'll find a restaurant and a bar with a surrounding herb garden, as well as an urban farm in the inner courtyard. Plus, you can enjoy a delicious daily special in the evening, which is served in the restaurant between 18:00 and 21:00.
WOW Hostel Amsterdam is quick and easy to reach via the A10 motorway and the bus/tram stop of Burg de Vlugtlaan. The Westerpark, which borders the Westergasfabriek, is a 15-minute walk away. Festivals such as Pitch, De Wereld Draait Buiten, and Buiten Westen are held here, but you'll encounter a number of cafés and bars here as well. Schiphol Airport and the centre of Amsterdam are both easy to reach via the station Amsterdam Sloterdijk.
Stay in one of the brightly coloured hostel rooms, which range from 2-person rooms to 12-person dormitories. The dormitories come with a bathroom that is either located in the room or in the corridor. Each guest has their own luggage locker, and free WiFi is available throughout.

Unknown- Comfortable and clean beds, amazing building with nice and clean shower and toilets. Not too far from shops and tram to central station. Breakfasts only saving grace was two different types of juice.housekeeping staff were pleasant and polite
- Breakfast wasn t great, ham and cheese sandwiches and cornflakes was the only option for everyone, not much variation. Incredibly bad vibes from most of staff, greeted at reception by ignorant and rude people. Around five staff unnecessarily standing over the poor excuse for breakfast which was quite uncomfortable. Heard one staff guy mutter f king unbelievable and looking at the others when someone took more than one slice of ham. The coffee machine only put out room temperature coffee which

Nino- It is a very nice and modern looking hostel. The room was quite large and clean. The bed was clean, some staff were very friendly and helpful. Large, lockable slideout locker under the bed.
- Bathroom was quite dirty, some staff were very rude and condescending. The power socket were in awkward position quite high up so you need a long cord to avoid dangling your device and the location is not great. The included breakfast was nothing special, jist some toast or cereal.

Prabu Ramachandran- Very secure, key card should be used to operate the lift as well as stairs is a very good idea. The restaurant was very good.
- The charger plug should be reachable to upper berth people too. I struggled charging my phone sleeping on the upper berth.

Donna Mae Vinson- I liked how clean and nice the place was...
- It is just quite far from the center, and a walking distance from thr bus stop amd tram

John Gunderson- Very considerate guests were quiet through the night. Hostel was far from the city center, but staff provided excellent public transit information for the nearby bus tram stop. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Free breakfast for guests every morning was good.
- Very long walk to city center if not using city transit.

Andrea Micolta Rojas- The staff were very helpful
- There was an older lady in our hostel room, and she terrified all the girls in our dorm. The hostel staff only removed her after she got verbal and hostile with another guest

Ashley Harrison- The hostel is very quiet and you can enjoy your time in the lobby or garden. The dormitory rooms are adequate size and the beds are extremely comfortable and clean. Absolutely no bother from other guests. The hostel is around 10 mins from the nearest tram stop and is perfect for getting to Dam square.
- The shower and toilet rooms were a little small but that was fine. Poor quality breakfast buffet. No smoking room so you had to smoke outside in the cold.

Christine Lutsch- The rooms were clean, there was enough space. A towel and clean linen were provided, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure. Breakfast was included in the price and fine for a hostel. City tax was also included, so no hidden costs. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. There are also art exhibitions and from time to time they have art events (which was unfortunately not on while I was there). It is a fairly quiet part of the city, bar some traffi
- It was some way out of the city, so had to travel in by bus tram. I didn t feel unsafe, but it s not the best neighbourhood of Amsterdam. It is quite a big hostel, so can feel impersonal. There also seems to be longer term residents, so it isn t the kind of hostel where you regularly chat to strangers. There is a small kitchen, perhaps too small for the number of people, and other than a kettle no cooking facilities or crockery etc. However, this was made up for by the fact that breakfast
