Hotel Banks is located in the very heart of Antwerp. The Kloosterstraat and Nationalestraat is just around the corner, with the MoMu fashion museum and lots of shops of upcoming and international fashion designers. The hotel is located on the Vrijdagmarkt, where market stalls are set up each Friday. Antwerp has a lively character with its theatres, galleries and good restaurants, making it a perfect choice for a city trip.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:30 on weekdays, and from 08:30 until 11:30 at weekends. The Daytime Café and Lazy Lounge on the ground floor has a fireplace, a courtyard and outdoor terrace. It is open daily from 07:00 until 20:00, the perfect place for breakfast, coffee, lunch, appetizers and tapas. At the Daytime Café, guests can enjoy complimentary drinks (after check-in) and light bites to eat (daily from 16:30 until 20:00, and until 17:45 on Sundays and holidays). When weather permits, the enclosed garden is a lovely spot to relax.

Antwerp is a fun shopping city and boasts many cultural sights. Banks is not only close to the boutiques of the Nationalestraat, but is also near the Grand Bazar Shopping Center and the renowned shopping street of Meir. There are an abundance of entertainment venues to be found around the Groenplaats.

Location, staff/service friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to Old City Square , even for seniors.
Our room was not air-conditioned and we struck very hot few days. The staff provided a fan which was very helpful. Didn't like design of chairs and lights. In a small room the splayed chair legs often got in the way. Better city map.

Location, design- very basic with great bed. Good breakfast.
Only minus is that the floor in the room was not clean. Why do cleaners never care for corners? Bed and towels were clean. Sink and toilet were clean. But floor (and little corners around bath) was bad.

Beds are good. Tappas and drinks in the evening in the hotel bar are well organised (and free of charge). Breakfast was good.
Toilet next to the bed is not well located.

The hotel classifies itself as a 4star hotel. The following is not acceptable for a 4star hotel Reception closes at 20:00 hrs Ro0m design - bare bones Bare ceiling, no carpet I ticked the boxes " business ", " design ", " budget , but neither one really applies. Will not stay there again. Price - value , much too expensive

“Ideally located, friendly, helpful, modern and functional:a real tip”

It was not the first time we used Banks. Location, service and price/quality, functionality, and flair/atmosphere in the reception and breakfast areas we valued most. In an emergency situation we asked on a Sunday afternoon for a vary late arrival that very day and were immediately offered to pick up the key at a very near location. That functionned perfectly and the hotel manager the next day at breakfast checked right away about it, and was as usual very helpful and genuinely friendly giving precise directions on how to get to the place we had to be urgently in town.
None for the quality one can expect for prices charged for an exceptionally convenient location at the very center of town.

Stylish decor, comfortable. Staff friendly. Nice breakfast.
The reception was unmanned from 20.00 on the Friday we arrived - this was not clear on the website (we were called on the day before but this was rather late to know). There was no list in the room of who to phone if you had an emergency - I would have been anxious if on my own in an unmanned building. They do need another coffee machine at breakfast!!

“Excellent accomodation.”

Excellent location. Staff very pleasant and very helpful. Overall, very nice hotel.
Bar not yet open downstairs. We had to move rooms after the first night as our shower leaked into the bedroom but the staff very very apologetic and nice with it. Think there\'s a few teething problems still as it\'s so new but I certainly would still recommend it.
