Surroundings

The hostel's surroundings offer a range of activities with something for everyone. The atmospheric city centre of Arnhem is just 15 minutes away by public transport. Arnhem is considered to be the 5th best shopping city in the Netherlands. And it certainly lives up to expectations: you'll find a wide range of high street chains in the main shopping streets, and many fashionable concept stores and unique boutiques in the surrounding streets and alleys. So venture out in search of the perfect gift or a new outfit! Plus you can discover numerous museums, such as the Kröller Müller Museum, the Wine Museum, the Airborne Museum and the Dutch Open Air Museum. Or visit Burgers' Zoo, just 2 kilometres away. Go on a world trip and admire elephants, flamingos and meerkats. The city of Arnhem is blessed with a rich history and many attractions. There's the John Frost Bridge, for example, where the Battle of Arnhem was fought during the Second World War. What's mroe, hidden underneath the city centre are 30 medieval vaults; a mysterious underground complex which has been open to the public since 2002.

Food and Drink

Start your day with a delicious breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet is served daily from 07:30 until 09:30, with a choice of freshly baked organic Odenwald bread and organic fruit juices. Restaurant Sonsbeek is open from 18:00 until 19:00 for a delicious meal prepared with local, organic ingredients. And simply sit back in the English Pub afterwards and enjoy the atmosphere. And it's even possible to order a tasty stone-baked pizza here.
