- Parking your car, no on site car park , parking was a good way away, had to fight with bags a long way across a very dark area then across the market square. Only suitable for able bodied people Half the lights not working in our room

- the girl at the check in was outstanding, very friendly helpful and made sure we were aware of the special rate the hotel has with the parking garage.
- I have sent a lengthy email to Best Western, there were so many minor things all adding up to a horrible experience, biggest minus was the staff attitude (with the exception being the girl at the check in counter) The breakfast was grossly overpriced and of such a poor quality that I had a sip of orange juice, half a cup of foul coffee and a cup of tea, I didn't even dare to eat anything it all looked dirty and dried out and horrible.

“Assen Hotel”
- Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Walking distance from shops and restaurants.
- Blood stains on the sheets. Old and dirty sofa and chairs. Loud noise from the bars next to the hotel, even at the more quieter part of the hotel.
