Kasteel Baexem can thank its current condition to the Peters family, the proprietors since 1987. At that time, they found the centuries-old castle in ruins. The complete renovation began in 1992, an enormous project resulting in what are now known as the gardens of Kasteel Baexem. The flora and fauna, ponds and winding paths can all be admired in the garden, and are certainly worth discovering. You can also take a guided tour of approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. This is only possible by appointment.

Breakfast is served daily in the romantic Muziekkamer (Music Room) from 08:00 to 10:00 h. You can have lunch at the restaurant on Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 15:00 h. A smaller lunch menu is available on the other days. You can enjoy dinner on Thursday to Saturday from 18:00 h. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the castle offers a 4-course surprise menu for their guests. Local and fresh produce are used to create dishes prepared according to traditional methods. Many of the herbs used come from the castle gardens. The castle does not have a bar.

You can wander for hours on end in the beautiful gardens of Kasteel Baexem, or you can take a lovely cycling or walking trip in the scenic area surrounding the hotel. You can encounter picturesque villages, and the beautiful historic city of Roermond is also certainly worth a visit. Would you rather explore the area by boat? Then the Maasplassen lakes are a must. This is the largest connected watersports area in the Netherlands. Enjoy a great day out and visit the magnificent old city of Maastricht, which is only a 30-minute drive away.
