Grand Hotel De Draak is located on the Grote Markt in the centre of Bergen op Zoom. De Draak is the Netherlands' oldest hotel, dating back to at least 1397. All rooms and suites offer a unique decor with original features. The hotel is affiliated with Historic Hotels Europe.
An extensive breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 11:00. The restaurant is named after Ernest Hemingway, writer and bon vivant with an appreciation for fine wines and spices. Culinary experience and enjoyment are given centre stage in this restaurant. Delight in a contemporary innovative style of cooking with influences from around the world and Dutch cuisine at its roots. The drinks menu is carefully compiled and features established and alternative drinks.
Hotel De Draak lies in the heart of Bergen op Zoom. You can easily walk from the hotel to the theatre, cinema, shopping street, and many places of cultural interest, including the Stadshuis, the Markiezenhof and the 14th century church towers of the Peperbus. It's fun to take a day trip to the Zeeuwse coast or the Bergse Plaat. Nature areas such as the Kalmthoutse moors, the Wouwse plantation and the Brabantse Wal all lie within a comfortable distance of the hotel. The Brabantse Wal is popular with guests who love walking, cycling and water sports.

- The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was very good
- The double bed was actually two twin beds pushed together which for a couple means that one person ends up falling in to the space between. It gets annoying after a while.

- Beautiful historic hotel in the very middle of picturesque Bergen op Zoom. Well appointed and character room. Friendly and helpful staff. A very pleasant stay, even if it was only one night. We will definitely stay again and would gladly recommend to others.

“Wonderfull hotel !”
- Great surprise, we loved the entourage from the room. It's on a old squar with beautiful old architecture, as is the hotel. The inside is wonderfull also. We will come back for a longer stay for sure. Didn't have tme for breakfast or to go to the restaurant.... A must see I would say to everyone!

- A great location and a hotel full of character. Public rooms on the ground floor were delightful and well-appointed. A good chef. Staff generally helpful, but sometimes needed a bit of pushing.
- The Grote Markt can be very noisy at night (on Saturday night until 4 AM) and the rooms themselves rather cramped. Air conditioning in our room did not function and could not be repaired.
