Atlas Hotel Village Brielle

Hotel details:
The hospitable Atlas Hotel Village lies in the centre of the historic town of Brielle (or Den Briel), which became well-known through the Sea Beggars conquest of 1 April 1572. This historic town is surrounded by magnificent ramparts. The 57 metres high blunt church tower of St. Catharijnekerk dates back to 1417, and makes it easy to recognise Brielle from afar. Brielle houses no less than 400 monuments, such as the Town Hall and the wooden post-mill 't Vliegend Hert (The Flying Deer). The river Brielse Maas is an important area for water sports and other activities.
The breakfast buffet is set up daily from 05:00 to 10:00 h. The 'Brasserie' has a homely and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offers an à la carte menu with many homemade products and seasonal dishes. The restaurant is open daily from 17:00 to 22:00 h. The hotel has a bar that is very popular with the locals as well. Live entertainment is organized here every Saturday evening. The bar is open each day from 10:00 to 01:00 h. and in the weekend until 02:00 h.
Brielle is situated along the 'Oude Maas' river in between varied landscapes with lots of water. Nice day trips can be made with the Atlas Hotel Brielle as a starting point. The very interesting fortified city Hellevoetsluis is located at just 5 kilometres from the hotel. A walk along the original ramparts gives guests an interesting glimpse of the town's rich history.

Mark Aarts- - warm welcome - friendly staff - clean room - excellent location in the centre of Brielle, to be reached by car
- - facilities outdated and overrated (€ 100/night for double room), € 75/night would be more reasonable - bar below our room was noisy, open until 1 am - walls and ceilings are thin, first guests get up around 5 am, and it is difficult not to wake up early - at 8 am, most warm breakfast supplies (boiled eggs, sausages) are finished or old (scrambled egg, baked beans), and no one is around to ask for a new supply - parking space next to hotel is limited and insufficient for its size

DELL- I have stayed at the Atlas on many occasions oi over the years. This year i felt that there has been a vast improvement in all aspects but particularly the standard of the meals.
6
WATLING- Location, most staff were very friendly.
- Car park could be bigger. Bed sheets are nylon not cotton, very sweaty to sleep in.

Alain L- Quite rooms on tne backstreet. Place for the bicycles. Good location.
- Can be noisy on the frontstreet due to the bar just in front
8.2
Lucas da Rosa- staff, parking, localization in Brielle main street and near to Leiden's tulips region.
- Stairs, cleaness

Robert- Food excellent Staff very friendly
- The room although comfortable was looking "worn" and could do with redecoration

Dirk de Zwart- Room was bright & a good size, we had room 150. The staff were friendly & helpful. The hotel is in a good position, you walked out of the front door into the main street. Brielle itself is a lovely little place with beautiful old buildings.

susan- We booked two triple rooms at 75 euros per room which were newly refurbished, large and clean, with good ensuite facilities including a bath. The buffet breakfast was quite adequate for the price paid. The street was quite quiet although we were close to the middle of town, restaurants bars etc. The staff were helpful with our requirements for safe cycle storage and the hotel was conveniently located for the LF1 north sea cycle route.
- The public areas and corridors are dowdy and old fashioned, giving a poor first impression compared to the quality of the rooms we had. However, I would prefer this to the usual scenario where hotels spend a fortune on the public areas only to disappoint when you get to your room.

Alan T- Excellent \'dagshotel\' evening menu (menu of the day) at 17.50 euro. Large portions, varied choices and excellent quality food. We were also impressed by the self-service breakfast buffet ... cereals, cold meats, warm sausage/ beans, flavoured milk, yoghurts, biscuits, fruit ... the list goes on.
- The bed wasn\'t tidied each day and some days only 1 bath and 1 hand towel were left (for the two of us).
