De Gouden Leeuw is established in this historic place on the IJssel, directly opposite a chapel from 1345. This characteristic old farm is atmospherically decorated. Bronkhorst - granted city privileges in 1482, and the Netherlands' smallest city - lies in the forelands of the river IJssel. The local ferry will take you across the river allowing you to travel via Brummen to the beautiful Veluwe area. The Hanseatic town of Zutphen lies within 12 kilometres of the hotel. This town is certainly worth visiting. In Bronkhorst itself, you can see the 14th-century chapel and the 13th-century Hoge Huys, and visit the old Jewish cemetry on the town's outskirts.
