Hotel Texel offers a hospitable service with contemporary facilities. Enjoy the spacious layout of the rooms and beautiful en-suite bathrooms. Relax in the indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. Access to the swimming pool is free during your stay. A surcharge applies for use of the sauna. You can visit the beauty salon for various skin treatments and wonderful massages. The hotel furthermore has an atmospheric lounge with a bar, a restaurant and an outdoor terrace.
The hotel's rural location, near the nature reserve of De Slufter, will certainly contribute to your stay. Kaap Skil is a maritime and beachcomber's museum in Oudeschild, where visitors can admire a variety of objects that have been washed ashore. And you can take a look at the iconic Traanroeier windmill, also located here. Bikes are available at reception, allowing you to easily explore the island.
Surroundings
Hotel Texel lies in the north of this West Frisian Island, near De Koog and De Cocksdorp. Two charming villages with lovely outdoor terraces and restaurants, and a 9-hole golf course nearby. The beach is just 3.5 kilometres from the hotel. You can visit the Ecomare in De Koog, a nature museum, seal sanctuary, sea aquarium and bird sanctuary. Visitors furthermore have access to the dune park near De Koog. There's also a 6-kilometre walking trail that runs around the hotel and through the private estate.
Food and Drink
The hotel's breakfast buffet will set you up for the day, and is available from 08:00 until 10:30. The bar is open from 11:00 until 23:00, and is situated in the lounge where you can take a seat on the sofas by the fireplace. Plus, there is an outdoor terrace. The à la carte restaurant Gusta uses locally sourced Texel produce wherever possible. The pure and unadulterated flavours of the ingredients are central to the dishes on the menu. In order to avoid disappointment, we advise you to make a table reservation in advance.

Relaxing break with cozy lounge seating by the fire. A lovely new hotel and a good restaurant with views of beautiful sunsets. The bed was amazingly comfortable.
Sauna was off when visited in the afternoon, although it was turned on again when we inquired. Most written information was in German.

the hotel is located quite far from the towns, so you'll need a car to drive to places. The bus only drives in the summertime, so for people without a car it's not recommended.

tweemaal gebruik kunnen maken van de tennisbaan, hardcourt, maar heerlijk! zwembadje op het terrein en in de buurt kunnen golfen.... Lekker sportief en in de buurt van nabijgelegen dorpen de Cocksdorp en de Koog. Je kunt ook heerlijk wandelen naar de Slufter...
Hoewel er een camping aan de achterkant van het hotel gelegen is, heb je hier eigenlijk geen last van. Het tweepersoonsbed is relatief aan de kleine kant.
De rode wijn was voor ons geen succes.

Great family hotel.
Hotel facilities sound better than they are. Room was very small and needed some touching up (flaking paint, etc).
