An extensive breakfast buffet is available in the restaurant every morning from 08:00 until 10:30. Fresh rolls, a selection of cheeses and a wide choice of sandwich fillings will set you up for the day. The Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant de Cooghen restaurant has a warm ambiance providing that authentic Texel holiday feel. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the sunny outdoor terrace during the day, and the restaurant offers an extensive menu in the evening. You can choose between traditional Texel dishes and more internationally inspired meat or fish dishes. Or simply take a seat on the patio or outdoor terrace and relax.

As the largest of the West Frisian Islands, Texel has a diverse landscape and charming villages. Apart from the mudflats and the beach, Texel also has dunes, meadows, heaths, woods, and salt marshes. Around the town of Den Hoorn in the south, you can discover large bulb fields which bloom magnificently in springtime. The heart of the island is the Hoge Berg, a boulder clay hill between the villages of Oudeschild and Den Burg. It is the island's highest point, and despite being just 15 metres high, you can look across the entire island from this peak.
