Hotel details:
Hotel de Koophandel is a 3-star hotel that is established in a characteristic historic building. From behind the stained glass windows, through the sun blinds, you have a beautiful view on the Beestenmarkt. In 1591 this building was the birthplace of Reynier Jansz, the father of the world-famous painter Johannes Vermeer.
The breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 to 09:30 h. and on weekends from 08:00 to 10:30 h. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but many restaurants and cafés can be found in the close vicinity.
There is no other place where you will encounter so many globally appealing cultural-historical values as in Delft; Delftware, Johannes Vermeer, the link with the Dutch royal family and the Dutch East India Company. But Delft is more than history. It is also a contemporary university town. From Hotel de Koophandel it is easy to reach cities like Den Haag, Leiden or Rotterdam. A lovely stroll on the beach of Scheveningen can easily be accomplished as well.
- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Check-in is possible until 23:00 h.

Peter Scott- 1. Central to the old city. 2. Easy walking distance to train station. 3. Helpful staff - directions restaurants
- 1. There was no detailed map of tbe area that was available on line showing the limits of access to the old city centre. (This is a city tourism problem, not the hotel.) 2. Information about street access by car to drop off and pick up luggage was unclear. 3. With no air-conditioning, is a fan available. Temperature during stay was 25 C .

- The posts which do not let you in some areas was a problem at the beginning since no explanation was obvious but as soon as we understood how to deal with it was OK
