Den Burg lies in the middle of Texel and houses approximately half of the island's population. The area is a popular tourist attraction and offers a large variety of shops. There are also plenty of possibilities for venturing out on walking and cycling trips through charming villages and splendid dunes. Texel is renowned for its sheep, providing important export products in terms of meat and cheese.

An extensive Texel breakfast is available between 08:00 and 10:00 (earlier or later is also possible) and is served in the brasserie's sun lounge. It's also a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee, a slice of cake and a newspaper whilst taking in the pleasant view of the square. The lunch and dinner menus offer home-made dishes, including sandwiches, salads, soups and fish dishes; many of which incorporate local Texel produce.'Drank- en Spijslokaal 't Schoutenhuys' is established in the former courthouse. Here guests can enjoy an array of dishes including a surprise menu comprising fourteen culinary dishes. Particular attention is also paid to the wine list, so don't hesitate to ask staff for advise with regards to a good accompanying wine.

Den Burg is Texel's largest village and home to the island's town hall. You can easily walk to many nice shops and the cinema from Hotel De Lindeboom Texel. Take a cycling trip through beautiful, charming villages and landscapes ranging from heaths to dunes to woods. Texel's dunes and beaches are just a few kilometres from the hotel.
