Hotel Hanzestadslogement De Leeuw is located in the historic centre of the Hanseatic town of Deventer. This atmospheric hotel offers 10 rooms which are sheltered behind a monumental facade from 1645. Guests enter the hotel through the coffee and tea room. Baking utensils, coffee grinders and cake tins grace the walls, giving the hotel a pleasant ambiance of days gone by.
Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00. You can also prepare breakfast in your room's very own kitchenette. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but you'll find many restaurants within walking distance serving regional and international dishes.
The hotel has a sweet shop with old Dutch sweets and Italian delicacy (cold cuts, cheese, olive oil, vinegar, pasta, flour, Italian sweets, etc.). In the deli, the hotel serves homemade pastries and delicious sandwiches with Italian cold cuts and cheese.
Deventer offers beautiful monuments and tourist attractions. Start your sightseeing tour of this Hanseatic city at De Waag building, the old weighing house which now functions as the Historisch Museum Deventer and the local tourist office. Take a break from your walk and visit the Toy Museum, or enjoy a photo opportunity at the Lebuïnus Church. The foot-passenger ferry will take you across the river IJssel, where you can explore the beautiful countryside of Worpplantsoen and Ossenwaard.

- - Very friendly staff who offered a cup of coffee of the house when we arrived. They also offered several brochures of what\'s happening in the city and nearby - Located right in the city centre
- - Two separate beds - We had hoped to spend a nice Sunday in the city, but it\'s dead quiet everywhere - Not the cheapest place (88 euros) - No parking at the hotel. We parked in a nearby garage for one night which cost us 16 euros. They do have a special discount with another parking garage in the city, but we missed that piece of information.
