The hotel lies in the National Park of the Utrecht Hill Ridge, only a 5-minute drive from the A12 motorway and yet incredibly peaceful. Cyclists, walkers and horse riders will love these woods. Walking and cycling routes to explore the area are available at reception. You'll also find several castles and country estates near the hotel. Hotel Landgoed Zonheuvel consists of four buildings on a 47-hectare estate. The pavilion building houses 100 hotel rooms as well as the reception and the restaurant. The lodges and conference rooms are located in the Maarten Maartenshuis and the Coach House. The hotel has its own vegetable garden and many herbs, vegetables and fruits are used in the menu.

A breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 until 09:30, and at weekends from 07:30 until 10:30. The restaurant welcomes guests for lunch and dinner, where the chef and his team work with organic fruit and vegetables. Or enjoy a delicious cup of coffee with a slice of homemade Dutch apple pie. During nice weather, lunch is also served on the outdoor terrace by the pond.

The Hotel Landgoed Zonheuvel in Doorn lies in woody surroundings offering an abundance of walking, cycling and horse riding tracks. It's also easy to reach Amersfoort or Utrecht by car or public transport. These cities offer a wide array of shops and museums, such as the Museum Flehite in Amersfoort.
