The l'Auberge Damhotel is a wonderful hotel with an unique ambience that perfectly fits the atmosphere of the romantic town of Edam. The hotel is located in the centre and offers a beautiful view of the stately council hall. At l'Auberge Damhotel guests can also have a delicious dinner. Guests can have a seat on the outdoor terrace on beautiful summer days, as well as on cold days, when the terrace is heated. The rooms are decorated in a luxury manner and all have their own distinct atmosphere. At the front of the hotel the rooms look out over the gorgeous 'Keizersgracht' (canal). In the rooms guests have a private bathroom with a toilet, shower, and bath. There is also a television, air conditioning and access to wireless Internet.

Breakfast is served at the tables from 08:00 to 12:00 h. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the Grand Café. The chef de cuisine is inspired by the Frans-Mediterranean kitchen. The menu is updated regularly.

Edam is a small city with a rich history that dates back to the 12th century. This history can still be seen today, as you walk along the many picturesque canals and gables, and see the old streets, alleyways and bridges. Also, the Edams Museum, the 'Kaaswaag' (cheese weighing house), the 'Grote Kerk' (church), and the 'Speeltoren' (bell tower) can be visited. Edam has a lively city centre with various shops and terraces. The city is mostly famous for its large round cheeses and every Wednesday in July and August Edam hosts a traditional cheese market.
