You will given a hospitable welcome by the Bed & Breakfast owners offering a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. They will gladly offer you tips for restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. De Zandtaart is a great stopping place from which to explore the family seaside resort of Edmond aan Zee.
Egmond aan Zee offers a sandy beach with plenty of beach pavilions and a village centre with shops, outdoor café's and restaurants. You can easily walk or cycle through the dune area behind the village, where you may even encounter a herd of oxen or wild horses.
Surroundings
Egmond aan Zee is a fine place for lovers of the seaside. Walkers and cyclists can follow various routes through the dunes. Just 7 kilometres from this seaside resort lies the city of Alkmaar, where you can have a great time shopping or visit the Cheese Market during peak season. It's also fun to visit the nearby village of Schoorl and run down the 51-metre high dune, the Klimduin.

Wij hadden een kamer met badkamer. Beide zagen er prima uit. Lekkere bedden, genoeg ruimte en schoon. Prima ontbijt.
Voor ons een wat hoge en onhandige wastafel. Het ontbijt was voor ons wat vroeg voor het weekend.
“My tip: We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij Mats en Zilte Zoen. Verder leuke winkeltjes, van alles wat.”
