The patio belonging to the sun room is also very busy in the summer.

De Stadsherberg Franeker is beautifully situated on the water, and close to the centre of Franeker. The inn is a short distance from the town of Harlingen, where ferries can take you to one of the West Frisian Islands, such as Terschelling or Ameland. Cities such as Leeuwarden and Heerenveen are also easy to get to.

De Stadsherberg has 10 lovely rooms equipped with modern facilities, such as a television, telephone, shower and toilet. Only 25 metres from the inn is The Management Academy of Franeker, where weddings can be held. All wedding guests can then carry on and continue their celebrations at de Stadsherberg.
