Hotel Castel is located opposite the Gent-St. Pieters train station. The centre of Ghent, with its ancient guildhalls and lovely canals, can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot or even faster by public transport. Being so near to the station also means you can easily go on a trip to other interesting Flemish cities, such as Bruges and Oostende.

A breakfast buffet is available from 07:30 until 10:00 on weekdays, and from 08:00 until 10:30 on Sundays and public holidays. Delicious à la carte dishes are served in the restaurant, but you can also choose between various menus. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and you can order a drink at the bar. The restaurant is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The bar is open from 17:30 until 23:00 on weekdays, and from 14:00 until 23:00 on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays.

Ghent's belfry is a 95-metre-high tower in the centre of the city. It is the middle tower of Ghent's row of towers, which includes the Sint-Nicolaaskerk and the Sint-Baafskathedraal. Ghent´s belfry is registered on the Unesco World Heritage list.
