The romantic Via Vecchia alley harbours surprising little restaurants such as Boccaccio, Cervantes and Hemingway's Cuba.Cultural Groningen has three large theatres, the Stadsschouwburg, the Grand Theatre and the Oosterpoort, all in and around the centre. Going out can be enjoyed into the early hours: the pubs and clubs of Groningen are open until very late. It is easy to get everywhere by bike, and Groningen is a very bicycle friendly city.

“Good Stay at Groningen Best Western Centre”
- This was a very good hotel for our one night stay. It was about a 12 minute walk from the train station. The room was comfy and clean, andd the staff at the front desk were friendly. We had the breakfast buffet which was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Prima ligging voor weekend Groningen ”
- Prijs kwaliteit voor een overnachting 2 personen met ontbijt 59 was geweldig. Je loopt binnen 5 min het centrum van Groningen in. Receptie was erg vriendelijk. Voor een prima prijs de auto in de hotelgasten gezet. Uitgebreid ontbijt en vriendelijke Dame in de bediening bij het ontbijt.ik vind het echt een aanrader.

- Hotel has own parking. vEry close to the centre. Breakfast is good. Staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. Can recommend the hotel.
- We had a partially blocked drain in shower, one attempt was made to fix, but did not work. The offered to fix it again, but it was our last morning. The hair dryer installed in the bathroom was not working properly. I was given a new handheld one to use. It is still a student city, and you wake up several times due to noisy persons passing by. It might be better to be on the 7th floor than on the first.

“Great location, excellent service, secure bike parking”
- Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, clean room and a really comfy bed. It was also great to be able to lock bikes securely in the basement car park. It was also great value.
- It s a busy area and the room was noisy with the windows open. Closing them meant it became very hot.
