This makes Simplon Youth Hostel a very suitable accommodation for single travellers as well as groups. The 12 rooms and 3 dorms offer a hostel capacity of 91 beds. The hostel is a job placement company for employees.
Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 until 11:00. Restaurant 'Eetcafe 73-2' is open for lunch on Monday to Saturday from 12:00 until 15:30, and dinner is served from 17:00 until 21:00. The dishes are attractively priced. Barbecues, hot and cold buffets and group menus can also be arranged for groups.

- Very near to one of the most beautiful parks in the center. All the service stuff was very polite.
- A large group of very drunk guys(Dutch) was allowed to enter into the room very late. They were making a lot of noise without any consideration of the rest of the roomates. As expected from drunk youngsters they were cursing a lot, and using a lot of dirty talk that might have offended the females present. On the top of it, they started a farting orchestra where the noiser the funnier.

- What I really like in the hostel is that people were very nice and speak with others easily and so I can made new friends and even people who work at the hostel were really nice too.
- What was not so good is that we can t stay in our dormitory during the day...

- This is a convenient place for visiting Groningen and the area. The price is reasonable, the staff are very helpful. Our room was comfortable clean and quiet.
- The only minus was that the coffee at breakfast time could be a lot stronger.
