The Carlton Square lies within walking distance of Haarlem's historic town centre. The hotel is conveniently located, being close to major exit roads towards Amsterdam, and just 10 kilometres from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam. It's therefore easy to combine a city trip with a day at the beach. The hotel has a heated outdoor terrace and a restaurant.
A breakfast buffet is served from 06:30 until 10:30 on weekdays, and from 07:00 until 11:00 at weekends. Bar & Kitchen Zocher is a great place to have breakfast, dinner, or an enjoyable drink at the bar. Freshly prepared meals are served from the restaurant's open kitchen, where extensive use is made of local produce from the Haarlem region. The bar serves delicious fresh coffee as well as a variety of drinks and cocktails.
Haarlem has numerously been voted the best shopping city in the Netherlands. Its special artisan shops, delicatessen, vintage and antique shops all lie within walking distance of the hotel, against a splendid historic backdrop of canalside houses and charming courtyards. Renowned museums include the Frans Hals Museum as well as the country's oldest museum, The Teylers Museum. A 15-minute drive will take you to nearby seaside resorts such as Zandvoort and Bloemendaal. “As hotel-owner for more than 20 years, believe me: this hotel is perfect value for money! Although the weather was bad with rain every day, we still keep our staying here as our best memory of Holland! We will be back!”

“Enjoyable stay overall ”
- Lovely spacious executive suite. Helpful front of house staff. Clean and comfortable. Quiet. Good location.
- The breakfast buffet was cold and I found myself asking for things which should have been readily available, eg bowls for cereal and napkins. Coffee machine needed attention and we were the first in the restaurant, ended up not having a drink, there was quite a wait on fresh eggs. Cows milk only and no alternative (soya milk) Restaurant staff were not very friendly.

- Interet connection inside a hotel was terrible, breaking all the time. I was not able even to read news properly. I am afraid what would happen if I had to make some financial transaction instead.

- Wat meer voorlichting over de parkeer situatie. Parkeer kosten inclusief of exclusief. Parkeer situatie rondom het hotel etc. Beetje ouderwetse inrichting.
