Hotel
Hotel Marquette Heemskerk lies on a 13th-century estate spanning 14 acres between Heemskerk and the dunes. You'll also encounter Chateau Marquette on the same grounds, where the restaurant is established, just 700 metres from the hotel. The hotel is easy to reach by car and public transport, and free parking facilities are available to guests. You'll find ample opportunities for walking and cycling in the direct vicinity. A trip to the adjacent North Holland Dune Reserve is highly recommended. Bikes are available for hire at reception. There is also a tennis court near the hotel, which guests can make use of at an additional charge.
The hotelrooms have a bath/shower and toiletries. During nice weather you can take a seat and enjoy a drink on the terrace. It is also possible to order dishes at Bar-Brasserie De Reigershoek. Various conference rooms can be found within a short walk of the hotel's main building; perfect for business meetings. A safe is available at reception.
Surroundings
Just west of Heemskerk lies the North Holland Dune Reserve, a stunning nature area with walking and cycling paths. You'll reach Heemskerk beach after approximately 4 kilometres. Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Haarlem can all be reached within a 30-minute drive. A trip to the Beverwijk Bazaar is, of course, also an option during your stay at Hotel Marquette Heemskerk.

The long ride thru a romantic scenery, away from noisy traffic, makes your stay very enjoyable when the weather is fair.
I had to fight adverse weather conditions: snow and ice and scary driving .
“My tip: The Marquette is close to the dunes and the North Sea. So you can hike and bike .....”

Friends oktober 2012
Arrived late and the castle was closed already. Thought we would have to eat bar food in the hotel. Chef from the castle said that he could put together a meal for us at the castle. What a surprise. Wonderful meal with the two of us and a history lesson and tour of the place. What a surprise. Andre made our trip so memorable! Breakfast was fantastic. Best of our two week trip!

the staff is polite and attentive, the rooms are clean and will maintened it is a pitty the breakfast is so expexnsive and that the hotel charge you city tax although it is in a very far away village from the city of Amsterdam.
the entrance to the hotel premises to guests arriving on foot is very dark you go through the wood without any light for hundreds of meters till the lights appear it is very scary that you will be run over a passing car, an animal or you can fall and be hurt. it ruined the check in and the whole process of staying in this hotwl.

Pleasant location. Quiet atmosphere. Friendly service.
Decor beginning to look a little \'tired\' (cracked mirror, chipped paint) Breakfast VERY EXPENSIVE (18 Euros) when paid separately (online I was permitted only one inclusive deal - the cost of a second room did not include breakfast).

Quiet, relaxing ambience. Receptionists very helpful.
Breakfast very expensive, choice limited. I believe that 10 euros would be a fair price.
