Hotel de Halte Helenaveen has lots to offer to its guests. The ambience is very enjoyable, especially in the attractive dinner cafe where you can order coffee with scrumptious pastries. Or find a pew on the terrace, where you can comfortably enjoy a glass of beer or wine while chatting with the other guests. Because of its bordering with the magnificent area of natural beauty De Peel, this hotel is an eldorado for lovers of nature. De Peel offers a varied landscape of bogs, lakes, open heathlands and sand ridges. Rare plants grow here and this area is one of Europe's must abundant bird areas.

Breakfast is served daily between 8:00 and 11:00. Lunch can be had in the lively 'eetcafé' (a pub that serves meals) from 12:00. Lunch includes various types of tasty soup, divine baguettes, typical local dishes and sundry salads, sandwiches and pancakes. The hotel gladly makes a lunch package for you to take with you. In the eetcafé, fresh coffee is also made throughout the day and there is a whole range of pastries, cakes and waffles. A drink can also be ordered from the hotel bar between 12:00 and 01:00. The eetcafé is open from 12:00 to 21:00 and in the evening it serves characteristic local dishes as well as delicious meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. There is a special menu for children. In winter, the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Aside from endless walking and cycling, visiting the town of Deurne is also a must. The village is historically and culturally interesting due to the displayed art of local artists in the many galleries and Museum de Wieger. For some historical culture, go and visit the old mill Holten's Molen, restored in all its splendour. Germany and Limburg are nearby as well.
