Beach Hotel Cape Helius Hellevoetsluis

Hotel details:

Beach Hotel Cape Helius is part of the resort Cape Helius. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar with a terrace leading out onto the beach. The spacious hotel rooms and suites are furnished in a maritime style and come with a luxurious bathroom with a bath, a television, tea and coffee facilities, and a veranda or a balcony.

A breakfast buffet is served on Monday to Saturday from 06:00 until 10:00, and on Sunday from 07:00 until 11:00. The hotel bar is open from 12:00 until 23:00, and the restaurant is open from 12:00 until 21:00.

Hellevoetsluis is one of the largest marinas in the Netherlands. It used to be a naval port and it was here that the famous Spanish treasure fleet - transporting valuables from America to Spain in the 16th and 17th century - was brought ashore by Piet Hein after being captured out at sea. Buildings such as the 'Tromphuys' and 'Ruyterhuys', the latter of which is named after Michiel de Ruyter, serve as a reminder of this time. The former dry dock where the maintenance of minesweepers was once carried out has now been turned into a museum. The province of South Holland also comprises islands such as Voorne-Putten en Goeree-Overflakkee. The region is characterised by wide, sandy beaches, dunes, beautiful woods and is seen as a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. The area is also ideal for walking and cycling. The seaside resort of Rockanje is only a short distance from Beach Hotel Cape Helius while the vibrant city of Rotterdam is just a 30-minute drive away.

- More rooms of the same room type are available on request.
- The hotel's policy requires the main booker to be at least 21 years of age.

“Short Break”
  • Location.
  • First room was located right next to reception, very noisy overnight with staff on reception and constant security phone calls. We were moved to a better room for the next few nights.

“great location, frendly staff ”
  • Good size rooms , internet good, water side rooms offer great views, nice relaxing pace, perfect after long day travelling.
  • Rooms are looking a little tired but I did note that there is upgrading happening on the complex and I am sure that you are working on this.

  • Ideally located for our stay. Midway between campsite the lovely old town.
  • Nothing really a little too hot in the hotel perhaps - turn the heating down a notch.

“Great spot at a lovely little harbour.”
  • Lovely and quiet in early June. Beautiful little town. Friendly staff.
  • After connecting our 2 phones the wifi wouldn t let us connect our laptops. Forgot to mention it at the reception as it wasn t that important for us because we only stayed 1 night.

“Excellent service, nice surroundings”
  • Excellent service, nice surroundings.
  • The beds are all single ones. When 2 are put together to make a twin bed they re not that comfortable because of the space between them.

“Dirty, annoying hotel!”
  • Relatively large rooms
  • Unfriendly personnel, rooms are not being cleaned well (urine stains on toilet seat at arrival, stains on carpet and curtains, cod webs on the ceiling, dirty socks from former visitor and huge clouds of dust under the beds, dirty black ceiling and walls at ventilation caps, heaters (radiators) and cabinets full of dust). Furthermore, no checks on defects (took two days for my tv set to be repaired). Hardly any light in the room; wired internet (no free WiFi in here!) fails often; noisy doors!
