The Bastion Hotel Schiphol Hoofddorp is a friendly and sharply priced hotel in Hoofddorp, and near Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. Bastion Hotels is a young Dutch hotel chain that is focused mainly on comfort and hospitality, and is characterized by its modern design. Also, Bastion hotels are usually located near a main traffic artery, to guarantee the hotels' easy accessibility. The Bastion Hotel Schiphol Hoofddorp is therefore located near the ringway around Hoofddorp, so that the nearby A4 motorway offers the hotel guests a good connection to Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. By car it is possible to get there in 20 minutes, but the hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. Of course, the centre of the young and friendly town of Hoofddorp can also be easily reached, as well as the nearby nature area of the 'Haarlemmermeerse Bos' (woods of Haarlemmermeer).
In the morning between 06:00 and 09:00 the hotel serves an extensive continental breakfast buffet, in weekends from 07:00 till 10:30 h. For lunch and dinner guests will appreciate the Bastion Hotels' restaurant, which boasts an extensive à la carte menu'and is open between 11:00 and 23:00 h. For a nice drink you may enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel bar until 23:30 h.
The Bastion Hotel Schiphol Hoofddorp is situated near the ring way around Hoofddorp. As such, the hotel has a good connection to the A4 motorway, and you can reach Schiphol Amsterdam Airport in 20 minutes by car. By car it takes about 40 minutes to reach the city centre of Amsterdam. Within walking distance of the hotel lies the nature area 'Haarlemmermeerse Bos'.

These conditions are available on request at the Bastion Hotel Group.-A free shuttle service to and from Schiphol Airport is available between 05:45 and 23:30. This shuttle bus runs every half hour. Please note that the shuttle bus always stops at Best Western Hotel Amsterdam Airport where you can then change for a bus headed for Schiphol Airport or a bus headed for the hotel.

“Perfect location with shuttle to and from Schiphol ”
- Very clean and quiet welcome drink included lovely buffet breakfast which was worth the additional euros. Very close to town of Hoofddorp, in which we needed to complete some banking.
- No complaints.

- Staff were helpful. Fridge in room and tea and coffee making facilities. Mattress firm. Good nights sleep.
- You had to take two buses to the hotel. However in total it took ok lay 15 minutes. It was a twin room.

- Excellent shuttle service from and to Schiphol airport, very comfortable beds, most friendly staff. Just an excellent hotel for the price. Enjoyed the conversations with the shuttle bus drivers!
- Remote control of the TV did not work (probably previous guests failed to inform the Reception to change the 2 AAA batteries!). Did not take breakfast at hotel but at airport at slightly lower price.

- The bed was very nice, I slept well.
- The hotel should be clear about it having TWO locations in Hoofddorp and that the location on Adrianahoeve 8 requires two shuttlebusses. One from the airport to the other bastion hotel in Hoofddorp and one from that hotel to the Adrianahoeve location. It is not fun to arrive at the first hotel only to be told you are at the wrong location and that you should take another shuttle. Not at 11 o'clock at night! The hotel knows very well this problem exists and should be absolutely clear about it. A

“Good service but it needs a bit of a makeover”
- I must tell you that the male receptionist was very kind, professional, and helpful. he is a great asset to your hotel. I arrived at 11:00 am exhausted, after many hours of travel and was told that I could not check in until 3:00. He quickly realized that I was desperate to get a little rest and arranged to get into my room within 30 minutes of my arrival. I was so thankful. He served me a beer while I waited and engaged me in conversation.
- At €199 per night, I was very upset that my room was not supplied with a hair dryer. Again, the receptionist quickly moved to find one for me, but his efforts were not successful. The hotel did not have one working hair dryer available. This seemed quite strange. I did not have a great impression upon arriving in the lobby, as it was quite rundown and in need of painting. I was actually quite unhappy about where I had landed but the kindness made my stay pleasant.
