Hotel Damier Kortrijk is one of the oldest hotels in Europe, first mentioned in 1398. The charming rococo facade dating from 1769 shelters a luxurious interior. The boutique hotel, built around a courtyard, offers 44 rooms, a restaurant and a cosy bar. Each room has a lovely atmosphere with a refined traditional interior. All rooms come with free WiFi, a free mini-bar, and a separate bathroom with a bath and/or shower, a desk, cable TV and a safe.

A breakfast buffet is available Monday through Friday between 07:00 and 10:00 and on weekends from 7:30 to 11:00. On warm days, breakfast is also served on the outdoor terrace.Head chef Martijn Defauw holds sway over the restaurant; he previousy worked in renowned restaurants such as Auberge de Herborist and Table d'amis. Together with his team he offers a contemporary take on fresh produce and organic vegetables. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday.Café du Damier is the perfect spot for a good cup of coffee, a delicious glass of wine, champagne or a single malt whiskey. A snack menu with appetizers is also available here.

The city of Kortrijk offers many good restaurants as well as a bustling nightlife scene and good shopping facilities. Hotel Damier Kortrijk lies on the Grote Markt square, just 8 minutes from the Xpo Kortrijk exhibition centre, and 18 minutes from the French city of Lille. It's a half hour drive to Bruges and Ghent, and an hour to Brussels and Antwerp. Enjoy leisurely walks in one of the beautiful parks and gardens in and around the city, such as the Rozentuin and the Koning Albertpark (King Albert Park); which is ideal for walkers and cyclists along the river Leie.
